Ellettsville Parks Board met in a regular meeting on Monday, June 4, 2012 at
the Ellettsville Fire Department Training and Conference Room,
Pledge of Allegiance
Richard Pease led the Board in the Pledge.
Members in Attendance
Board members Richard Pease, Vice President; Phil Rogers and Claudetta Kelly, Secretary, were in attendance. †Jimmie Durnil and Geraldine McIntyre were absent. †
Approval of Minutes
Richard Pease entertained a motion for the approval of the minutes for the regular meeting on May 9, 2012.† Claudetta Kelly so moved.† Phil Rogers seconded.† Motion carried.
Review of Accounts Payable Expenditures
Richard Pease stated the current balance is $32,189.91.† Revenue for the month was $104.76 and† expenses were $334.72.† Phillip Rogers asked what the expenses were that totaled $334.72.† Mr. Pease replied Parks and Rec Materials is $184.54, Parks and Rec Electrical Service is $150.
Phillip Rogers stated the only old business is the benches.† Mr. Pease advised Jimmie Durnil said he was going to meet with the Town Board.† Mr. Rogers talked to the Police Department.† The Town Marshal told him they are currently patrolling the park but they canít be there 24 hours a day.† If there are future problems and they can catch who is doing it then their parents should pay for it.†
Privilege of the Floor
Ken Underwood is present to discuss the benefit auction for Verda Slinkard.† He provided a copy of their liability insurance.† They have rented a shelter house for August 11, 2012.†
Richard Pease suggested they keep a list so they know whoís renting shelter houses.† Mr. Rogers said there is a list but he doesnít know who keeps it.† Mr. Pease said Amber use to keep a list.† Claudetta Kelly asked if people rent a shelter do they have to contact Amber.† Mr. Pease replied thatís correct.† Ms. Kelly suggested with the other stuff she picks up from Amber, she could also give her a list of shelter house rentals.
Richard Pease made a motion to adjourn and Phillip Rogers seconded.† Motion carried.† The meeting was adjourned.
