The Ellettsville, Indiana, Town Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 8, 1999.Members present were Michael Cornman, President, Geraldine McIntyre, Vice President, Donald Ashley, and Patrick Stoffers. Mr. Cornman called the meeting to order.Donald Ashley gave the prayer, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

COMMENTS:

 

UTILITY DEPARTMENT PRESENTATION OF JACKETS:

 

Mike Farmers said they have started a new tradition with Joe Bowman and after every 5 years the employees are recognized with a bonus.They have added something they can wear and be proud of and just kind of honor them for their longevity.

Mike Farmer presented jackets to the following employees, Jean Ramsey for 10 years of service, Louise Emmons for 15 years of service and Kay Neal for 25 years of service.

Jeff Farmer presented a jacket to Jeff Ping of the Sewer Department for 20 years of service.

 

MINUTES AND CLAIMS:

 

Mike Cornman said is there a motion to approve the minutes and claims.Donald Ashley so moved.Geraldine McIntyre seconded.Motion passed 4-0.

RESOLUTION 2-99 FORMULATING A COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEE FOR

Mike Cornman read Resolution 2-99.Mike Cornman said he recommends to the Council that we approve this Resolution 2-99.Geraldine McIntyre so moved Donald Ashley seconded.Motion passed 4-0.

 

RESOLUTION 3-99 TRANSFER OF FUNDS:

 

Mike Cornman read Resolution 3-99.Mike Cornman said is there a motion to approve Resolution 3-99.Geraldine McIntyre so moved.Donald Ashley seconded.Motion passed 4-0.

 

SUPERVISORS:

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT:

 

Jim Davis informed the Council that tomorrow they will be going to Wisconsin to see the final blue prints on the new fire truck.

 

CERTIFICATES FOR THE 24 HOUR FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING:

 

Jim said he showed the Council the certificates that the Sewer, Water and Street Department got their State of Indiana Certificate for their 24 hour fire fighter training.

 

STREET DEPARTMENT:

 

Jim Ragle left the meeting to get the snowplows on the trucks.

 

UTILITY DEPARTMENT-MIKE FARMER:

 

Mike Farmers said they just finished Ratliff and Trooper Lane.They will be hooking up new customers on that portion of the line.

 

ORDINANCE 98-25:

 

Patrick Stoffers informed Mike Cornman that it appears that we didnít assign the annexed area to any of the ward within the town.Mike Cornman said it is Ward 4.

 

Mike Cornman said he recommends to the Council that we in reference to Ordinance 98-25 on annexation we assign that to Ward 4 for the Town of Ellettsville.Patrick Stoffers so moved.Geraldine McIntyre seconded.Motion passed 4-0.
