The Ellettsville Parks Board met in a regular meeting on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Ellettsville Fire Department Training and Conference Room, 5080 West State Road 46, Bloomington, Indiana. Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Jimmie Durnil led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members in Attendance
Jimmie Durnil, President; Holly Nethery, Vice President; Claudetta Kelly, Secretary; and Carol Hoobyar were present. Amy Slabaugh was absent.
Approval of Minutes
Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to approve the minutes. Holly Nethery made a motion to approve the minutes. Carol Hoobyar seconded. Motion carried.
Jimmie Durnil advised the wall repair will come out of the Heritage Trail and Town Improvement Fund which has a balance of $8,799.61. The Parks and Recreation materials will remain the same at $2,080.86 as interpreted by Town Manager, Jim Davis. Ms. Nethery asked if the Hoosier Energy donation will show up on their statement. Mr. Durnil does not think it will be on this statement. Ms. Nethery was told it will be in a donations fund.
Jimmie Durnil mentioned Mike Farmer has indicated he will do his best to get the lights installed by June 18, 2016. June 18, 2016, is the grand opening of the Heritage Trail.
Jimmie Durnil announced the following:
· Monroe County Fall Festival is September 15 – 17, 2016.
· Ellettsville fireworks will be held on July 4, 2016.
· Open house at the Ellettsville Police Department will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 2016. They will have Town employees present and he would like Park Board members to be present. Mr. Durnil asked if they have literature for the Parks Board. Ms. Kelly answered she has never seen any. Ms. Nethery volunteered to draft a flyer on the parks. Mr. Durnil will have the Town copy the flyer.
Jimmie Durnil explained the Town Council gave the Parks Board administrative authority over the old Town Hall. Everything stored at the school will be moved into old Town Hall. They will be adjourning to meet at the old Town Hall.
Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting. Holly Nethery made a motion to adjourn. Carol Hoobyar seconded. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 5:41 p.m.
