Review of Accounts Payable Expenditures

Jimmie Durnil asked Claudetta Kelly if there was anything different.  Ms. Kelly replied it is all on the sheet.  Mr. Durnil noted the Park Board funds pay for the snowflakes in Town.

Old Business

They have additional funding of $18,000 for park furniture this year.  He will contact the lady they’ve been working with on purchasing the furniture to come to a meeting.

Privilege of the Floor

Jimmie Durnil’s son, Curt and grandsons, Jack and Sam attended the meeting.  The purpose was for the boys to learn how the Parks and Recreation Board meetings are conducted and what the Board is responsible for.  They are working toward becoming Eagle Scouts.

Jack Durnil doesn’t go to the parks a lot.  When he does he thinks the parks look great most of the time and the Parks Board is doing a good job.

Sam Durnil asked where the $18,000 comes from.  Mr. Durnil replied it comes from tax money and grants.  They’re going to use the money for picnic tables, benches and playground equipment.  He also understands the Town is trying to get some more land to expand the park.

Park Board Comments

Jimmie Durnil reminded everyone they have an organizational meeting on the first Monday in January.

Geraldine McIntyre made a motion to adjourn.  Richard Pease seconded.  Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
