The Ellettsville Parks Board met in a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 1150 W. Guy McCown Drive.Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.


Members in Attendance

Present were Jimmie Durnil, President; Holly Nethery, Vice President; Claudetta Kelly, Secretary; Carol Hoobyar and Amy Slabaugh.


Approval of Minutes

Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to approve the minutes.Holly Nethery made a motion to approve the minutes.Carol Hoobyar seconded.Motion carried.


Accounts Payable

Claudetta Kelly stated she was not informed of any changes.

Old Business

Jimmie Durnil hopes they like the renovations to Old Town Hall.If it should ever flood again they can remove the water and start over again.Some of the flooring still needs finished.


Jimmie Durnil asked Ms. Nethery what the Parks Board will be doing for Education Day during the Monroe County Fall Festival.Ms. Nethery answered nothing because they donít have the manpower.


New Business


Holly Nethery was at Campbells Park and noticed people smoking.She asked them to stop smoking but noticed there are not any no-smoking signs posted.Mr. Durnil advised they will try to have them up before the Monroe County Fall Festival.Ms. Nethery thinks no-smoking signs should be posted at all Town properties including the Heritage Trail.



Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.Holly Nethery made a motion.Carol Hoobyar seconded. Motion carried.The meeting was adjourned at 6:04 p.m.
