The Ellettsville Parks Board met in a regular meeting on Monday, September 6, 2016, at the Ellettsville Fire Department Training and Conference Room, 5080 West State Road 46, Bloomington, Indiana.  Jimmie Durnil called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.


Due to the minutes from this meeting not being recorded, the following is taken from the notes of the Secretary:


Members in Attendance

Jimmie Durnil, President; Holly Nethery, Vice President; Claudetta Kelly, Secretary; Amy Slabaugh and Carol Hoobyar were present.


Approval of Minutes

Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to approve the minutes from last month’s meeting.  Holly Nethery made a motion to approve the minutes.  Carol Hoobyar seconded.  Motion carried.


Accounts Payable

Expenditures were reviewed.


Old Business


Old Town Hall

Jimmie Durnil provided the following update on old Town Hall:


There has been difficulty with the locks for old Town Hall.  He will contact J & S Locksmith to install new locks and an anonymous donor will pay for them.


Renovations at old Town Hall may not be completed until after January 1, 2017.  Therefore, it will not be available to rent.  This affects Main Street’s “Santa on Sale Street” event.  Ms. Kelly will notify Chris Fisher.


Mike Farmer has said the lights on Heritage Trail should be installed by early winter.



Jimmie Durnil entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Amy Slabaugh made a motion to adjourn.  Carol Hoobyar seconded.  Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
