Sports & Recreation

My name is Rick Plunkett. I am the new part time Sports Director for the Town of Ellettsville. I was a three-sport athlete in high school (cross country, wrestling and track & field) and have participated in various sporting events and competitions throughout my adult life. I was a high school sports official (cross country, wrestling, volleyball and track & field) for several years. Additionally, I have coached numerous recreational youth sports teams (basketball, baseball and soccer) as well as travel teams in basketball and baseball. My desire is to promote sports and recreational activities for all ages in the Town of Ellettsville. Exercising and being active are beneficial for everyone. I welcome your input regarding your interests in general and any suggestions you might have for potential future activities or events for me to consider. You can contact me through my email address at rickplunkett@ellettsville.in.us. I look forward to hearing from you.

Pickleball Anyone?

I have purchased materials to be able to set up two outside temporary pickle ball courts. Currently, my goal is to establish these in the area across from Campbell's Park. As soon as the 5K race is completed, I intend to work on getting this project completed and will advise as it progresses.
